Eccentric Compensating chucks are essentially designed for the cutting where the component is located in between 2 centers – 1 on the chuck body and the other on the tailstock. JAWS make Eccentric Compensating Chucks provide total solutions to any chucking problem in between centers that requires the jaw movement to be compensated to match the eccentricity or irregularity of the work piece. The work piece is located by a center mounted in a housing and chucking is done by means of compensating jaws. The compensating action is provided by the radially floating chucking piston. These chucks can also be readily converted to work a self centering chuck by simply changing the centering insert. |
